Welcome to Kirksowald C of E Primary School

Our school and nursery is nestled in the beautiful Eden valley and our village setting gives us the great privilege of having strong links with our community including the The Parish Church, the Methodist Chapel, the Village Hall, the Community Shop and the Kirkoswald Football and Cricket Teams. We use the village playing fields for sports and regularly visit the woods to use our purpose-built outdoor classroom. We are inspired by the River Eden that flows through our village and the countryside we live in. 

We take huge pride in being creative and using our outdoor resources to compliment the teaching and learning at school. As an Outdoor Learning School we teach and learn in nature throughout the year and seasons. Our small class sizes, family oriented atmosphere and spacious well-resourced learning spaces ensure that children at Kirkoswald school thrive and develop as a whole child. Our school vision "Explore, Dream, Discover" encourages independent learning whilst still retaining a nurturing and supportive educational environment.
